The diagnostic platform will benefit from frequent updates to upgrade and extend application coverage to the tool. Omitec has extended the firmly established tool of choice, the Land Rover T4, which is the OE standard diagnostic platform for all vehicles to the current Range Rover. The software can be easily installed onto your existing Omitec Diagnostic equipment or onto a different laptop offering a user friendly, flexible and cost effective solution. It does have the advantage of doing many other makes of car to similar tehnical levels, whereas the T4 only does Land Rover/MG/Rover of course.The new UCM Land Rover Diagnostic Platform enables you to increase your diagnostic portfolio You will now be able to work on the latest Land Rover vehicles such as Discovery 3 and RR Sport, with the benefit of regular updates to increase capability. The closest is the DEC Scan III, which gets to dealer level programming on some of the Rover/Land Rover systems, but still cannot do everything the T4 does. There are some alternatives but NONE of them get to the same level as the T4 functionality wise.
The T4 Lite is probably what they are offering, which is a smaller unit, used with a Laptop and uses the T4 or an Omipro as the interface with the car.
It requires different discs to work on Lqnd Rover and will only work to 2007 on Land ROver, as after this the data was transferred to the Ford IDS unit, which is made by SPX (Now owned by Bosch).įor MG/Rover, you don't need to worry about the fact that the later Land Rovers are on the IDS as all the Rover is on the T4. The T4 will do all functions on the Rover range. The dealers were supplied this as their dealer kit. The original T4 was made and still is made by Omitec.
